After harvesting, within 24 hours, yerba mate leaves need to be exposed on very high temperature for a short time to avoid loosing them color, aroma and taste. On the second stage of drying process the leaves are put onto conveyer belt and exposed to the hot air (between 80°C-100°C) for a period up to 12 hours.
Our 1,5 MW burners help to pass through this processes safely and controlled in Don Lorenzo tea factory. The temperature in the dryers has to be correct not to burn to leaves or make the taste smoky. There are different sensors connected to the burner to predict and regulate the temperature, in addition, internet connection allows to keep the eye on the burning process all the time.
